Behind the Scenes with McCarthy Stone
We’ve been busy behind the scenes with McCarthy Stone on their new retirement developments launching in 2026. From bespoke furniture to made-to-measure curtains and blinds, our workshop has been bringing designs to life across Exeter, Liphook and Southend-on-Sea.
The palette has been a lovely one to work with too; warm orange and henna tones, soft neutrals layered with texture, and pops of blues and greens to keep everything feeling fresh and balanced. It’s been great collaborating with designers on a scheme that feels welcoming, comfortable and made for everyday living.
More updates from this project coming soon – we can’t wait to share the finished spaces!
The New Forest, Ashurst
We’ve been working with designers on the refurbishment of The New Forest Pub, giving it a fresh, contemporary update while keeping its laid-back charm. Bespoke sofas in warm reds, dining chairs in rich tones, and bar stools with studded and fluted details bring depth, character, and personality to the space.
Mortons Kitchen Bar & Deli, Solihull
We’ve also been working with designers on Morton’s Kitchen Bar & Deli, bringing the space to life with a mix of bespoke contract furniture and refurbished existing pieces. Bright and airy, the restaurant blends casual dining & drinking, while our furniture in a mix of subtle reds, pinks & greens add style and all-day comfort.
Jameson Exclusives: Our Top Picks
Looking back at some of our favourite projects got us thinking about our favourite Jameson Exclusive pieces, all manufactured in our West Midlands factory. Here are a few top picks that work beautifully with warm reds, soft blushes, and rich maroon tones:
- Pia Buttoned Lounge Chair: Elegant buttoned detailing adds classic charm – perfect for rich fabrics and classic hospitality interiors.
- Court Bar Stool: A true pub classic – studded edging and timeless style gives any bar area a sense of character and warmth that lasts.
- Chicago Sofa: Clean and contemporary, letting bold fabrics, striking patterns and warm tones take centre stage.
At Jameson, we combine UK manufacturing in our own midlands factory with carefully sourced European pieces, allowing us to deliver complete, contract schemes with the right balance of lead time, budget and design intent.
Storytelling Through Soft Furnishings
Hospitality spaces often have a story to tell, and we love helping interiors bring that narrative to life! Subtle details of curtains, blinds, pelmets and voiles can really help to create an immersive atmosphere.
-
The Captain’s Wife, Penarth: A seaside pub and restaurant inspired by the legend of a local captain and his wife. We supplied bespoke curtains and blinds in soft blush tones with floral accents and hints of orange, echoing the story of the pub while keeping the atmosphere inviting and layered.
-
The Wicked Lady, St Albans: A contemporary dining space influenced by the tale of a notorious local highwaywoman. Our team worked with designers to create window treatments in soft pinks and patterned greens, giving the interior a storytelling edge without overpowering it.
It’s always exciting to see how well-chosen soft furnishings can quietly reinforce a space’s character — enhancing the story without stealing the spotlight.
