Located in the heart of the West Midlands, our 40,000 square foot facility houses our manufacturing factory, showroom, warehouse, and offices, where we bring our clients’ visions to life with unparalleled craftsmanship and dedication.

Our Story

Currently led by our all-female ownership team: Jackie, Lindsey, and Rachel and with roots dating back to 1978, Jameson has built a reputation for quality furniture, soft furnishings and exceptional service. What began as a small family-led workshop has grown into a trusted name in contract furniture and soft furnishings for hospitality across the UK.

Jameson established by Kenneth Jameson Fendick in a shop in Grove Lane Harborne, Birmingham.

As the company grew so a series of moves were taken as more space was required always staying within the West Midlands.

In 1985 we bought our first factory in Sherborne St, Birmingham, retaining the Grove Lane premises as the offices only.

In an attempt to create space, the Curtain Division and Offices moved to separate premises, firstly, in 1991, to Parliament Street in Small Heath.

Later in 1993, they moved to larger Allcock St, closing Grove Lane completely.

At this time, Ken’s son, Paul, takes over the running of the business.

Jameson moves to a much larger factory over 3 floors in Cheapside in Digbeth Birmingham bringing everything together under the same roof .

Over the years, Cheapside was also expanded: the Flower Warehouse opposite was acquired and became the woodshop, an adjoining unit was purchased to allow for expansion, a mezzanine floor was built to create storage space and a separate spray shop was added.

We joined Made in Britain as they are a non profit organisation that brings together the British manufacturing community.

Jameson went through a rigorous process to prove we do indeed manufacture, The Made in Britain marks are protected and can only be used under license as a member.

CIUK

Commercial Interiors UK is the UK’s business association for the contract furnishing industry. Jameson is the 2nd oldest member of CIUK having initially joined in 1985.

They are the only association representing commercial interiors as a whole and collectively now has 200+ members representing an unrivalled association of businesses and leaders who champion the best of UK interior and product design, and sustainable manufacturing.

If a company is a Commercial Interiors UK member you can be assured that it has been accredited by the association and operates with professional integrity and trades by its reputation.
